THEE LOR SU

All though the rains cause road closures and make it the most ditticult time to visit it, Teelorsu’s beauty is at its most beautiful during this time. The alternative is to brave the treacherous waters by boat as well as a fourteen kilometer hike through dense forests. The trip which takes a whole day and a night is well worth it once you reach your destination and behold the sight of these majestic falls gushing down in full force and realize that in these rains there are very few people who would have this experience or claim to have seen it from the same breathtaking perspective


TRAVEL : THEE LOR SU


BY CAR : Bangkok – Mae Sot Tuke the route passing through Ayutthaya, Ang Thong, Singhburi, Nakhon Sawan and Kampaeng Phet. Before reaching Take city proper divert to Mae Sot. (The trip takes 5 – 6 hours)
BY CAR : Mae Sot – Um Phang Before entering Mae Sot is a sign indicating the way to Um phang District. The road is and extremely winding and crooked one so that a 160 kilometers. Distance takes as long as 4 – 5 hours and requires experienced drivers.
BY CAR : Um Phang – Thee Lor Su This road way is closed in the rainy season. You might settle for the services provided by the resorts.
BY AIR CONDITIONED VEHICES : Take a car all the way to Mae Sot District and request the resort vehicle pickes you up from within the district.

PHU HIN RONG KLA


Tourists journey to this National Park, also known as Phu Hin, to marvel at the natural formations of lan Hin Pum – a field of nodulated stone lumps roughly equal in size and Lan Hin Taek – a field of broken rocks. Growing in the crevices of these rocks are various plant species including mosses, ferns and ground orchids. After a rainfall the lust greenery that blankets the park area can only be described as profusion. The three kilometer natural trail to Lan Hin Pum can therefore be managed effortlessly especially since it ends with a cliff that serves as a superb vantage point from which to take in the scenery.
The National Park also abound with cascading waterfalls like Man Daeng Waterfall that parallels with dense forests and in the only area to find two rare orchids one pink and the other bright orange. Rom Klao Paradorn is a smaller water fall with moss covered rocks dotted with picturesque tiny white flowers.



TRAVEL : PHU HIN RONG KLA



From Bangkok take the highway passing Saraburi heading for Phu Kae Junction straight pass Lopburi (avoiding the town) and head toward Phetchabun at Lomsak District make a left turn on the Lomsak-Phitsanulok highway , at kilometer 68 in Baan Yaeng turn left to Nakhon Thai District and finally turn right toward Phu Hin Rong Kla National Park. A total distance of approximately 500 kilometer, the route brings you pass several scenic sports to stopover like Kaeng Sopha and Poi Waterfalls.
Phu Hin Rong Kla can also be reached from the Phetchabun side using the Lom Kao-Tab Berk-Phu Hin Rong Kia route. This alternative is rather steep and curvy and is better to negotiate when going downhill instead.





PHU SOI DAO
Enveloped by mist and showered by gentle rainfall, a walk through the meadows with flowers blooming in profusion on Pho Soi Dao offers a semblance of a paradise on earth despite the nine arduous kilometers it takes to scale the heights to get up there . The pine forests are a wondrous sanctuary that provide respite for the weary soul in the same way as gushing waterfalls like Sai Thip native orchids emerging from the creeks and crevices to greet each visitor. It is here at Phu Soi Dao that you are offered a perfect vantage point from which to view the Thai – Lao border demarcation.

Take the Bangkok-Phitsanulok highway shifting on to the Uttaradit-Nam Pad or Nakhon Thai routes (Follow directions on map.) Buses are not advised.
When the Ngon Nark flower are in bloom tour groups are available. They take care of all basic needs whether transportation, carriers, food, tents or cooking facilities.
6.5 kilometer hike up the mountain is very steep and takes 4-6 hours. Carriers are on hand to take care of the burden of lifting your belongings for a fee of 15 Baht/kilogram



PHU WUA



The Phu Wua Wildlife Santuary at Bung Khla District in Nong Khai Province provides a wondrous and romantic setting with its wide array of wild flowers of all types and colours blooming in profusion. The reserve is also home to a treasure trove of exotic wild orchids rarely found anywhere else. Accentuating the beauty of this earthly paradise are the cascading Chanaen Falls – definitely not to be missed.



TRAVEL : PHU WUA
From Bangkok drive in the direction of Saraburi Province then make a right turn on to the Friendship Highway pass Nakhon Ratchasima, Khon Kaen, Udonthani and Nong Khai. From Nong Khai take the right hand side along the 212 national highway until you reach Rattana Wapee-Pak Khad via Bung Kal, Boong Kla, Dok Chik Village and Phu Waua Wildlife Reserve, a total of altogether 800 kilometers.




DOK KRAJIEW MEADOWS AT PA HIN NGAM


These pinkish violet flowers described as Siamese Tulips may not be rare but the sight of thousands upon thousands blooming in profusion carpeting the vast area is most memorable. The flower belongs to the ginger family and the bulbs remain hidden underground until the first rainfall. The blossoms transform the forest in Thep Sathit National Park and attract thousands of tourists to partake of their short ephemeral beauty each year making this a festival comparable to the Cherry Blossom Festival in Japan.


TRAVEL : DOK KRAJIEW MEADOWS AT PA HIN NGAM


For the Tung Krajiew meadows Pa Hin Ngam National Park lies on the cusp between Lopburi and Chaiyaphum provinces. From Bangkok take the highway passing Saraburi heading for Pho Kae junction straight pass Lopburi (avoiding the town) and head toward Phetchabun Province all the way to Lam Narai District then make a right turn toward Chai Badan. From then on there’ll be signs leading taward Thep Sathit District and the Kra Jiew Meadows. A total distance of around 247 kilometers.
